survive the drive participantsEvery day, the UK witnesses the tragic loss of five lives due to road accidents. As part of this year's Road Safety Week, the urgent question being raised is: "Why do we still think it's acceptable to speed when lives are at stake?"

With a mission to support victims of road accidents and promote safety, Rundlewalker recognizes the importance of proactive measures to reduce accidents caused by excessive speed. The firm emphasizes the significance of spreading awareness, educating the community, and advocating for responsible driving habits.

"Road Safety Week is a crucial time to pause, reflect, and take action,"
stated Roger Henderson, Head of Personal Injury. "As solicitors committed to supporting accident victims, we see first-hand the devastating impact of road accidents. It's imperative that we address the issue of speeding, as it remains a leading cause of fatal collisions. We urge everyone to join us in promoting responsible driving habits for the safety of all road users."

The firm encourages individuals, communities, and professionals to actively participate in Road Safety Week activities, initiate discussions, and share resources that spotlight the importance of adhering to speed limits and exercising caution on the roads. Advocating for safer driving practices is a collective responsibility that can significantly reduce the incidence of accidents and prevent avoidable tragedies.

my horse was injured in a road accidentVision Zero’s ambition is to cut road deaths and serious injuries to zero by 2040 – and to reduce current numbers by 50% by 2030.

In 2021, 47 people were killed and 647 were seriously injured on the roads of Devon and Cornwall. That number MUST come down. While the region is one of the safest when it comes to road safety, we believe that any death or serious injury is too many.
